Project description

In Medha's research paper, she explored how the usage of CRISPR technologies could be used as a potential treatment for major depressive disorder. Major depressive disorder affects about 1 in 6 people throughout their lifetime and comes along with detrimental side effects. Her paper discusses the genetics of depression, CRISPR and gene therapies, the ethics of using CRISPR, and the challenges gene therapies present specifically in the brain.
