How has the development of AVs influenced the way they are assessed for public safety and how has their mass deployment impacted the safety of real-world roads?

Project's result
I was able to find out more about the development of autonomous vehicle technology and the regulatory issues within them. With the specific types of case studies that I've dived into, it has brought more attention to me that the current state of autonomous vehicles (AVs) are not complete. Although, by providing explanations and analysis about the safety of AVs, hopefully I have changed some thoughts about them.
They started it from zero. Are you ready to level up with us?
Summary
My project is trying to provide the fundamentals of how AVs first started, how they got developed, and how they will be making changes in our world. My project's primary goal is to present AV accidents that have significantly impacted public safety and raised issues. Aside from the primary goal, I will discuss how the history of AV has influenced its current state and provide multiple case studies involving incidents occurring from autonomous vehicles. Additionally, I will also discuss what makes the technology on these AVs safe for public use. In the end, the message that I will be trying to send is that AVs are safe.
