Scientific Theory of Invisibility Cloaking

Project's result

I have published a research paper and created a video on the Theory of Invisibility Cloaking. I submitted my video to the 2020 Breakthrough Junior Challenge and it ranked in the top 10% of all videos.

They started it from zero. Are you ready to level up with us?

Summary

This project is focused on the Scientific Theory of Invisibility Cloaking. Invisibility Cloaking is based on the principles of Optics, a field in Physics that studies light and its physical properties. This project helps you understand the use of transformation optics and metamaterials to create optical devices for hiding objects and making them invisible. You must guide light rays around an object to make it invisible to the naked eye. In explaining the Theory of Invisibility Cloaking, I have also explained the refractive property of light, Snell’s Law, Fermat’s Principle, Maxwell's equations, and cloaking devices.

Project review

“Though it was my first experience writing a research paper, it was a very positive one. I always looked forward to my sessions with Dr. Perczel as they were very enriching and educational.”
