Do Charities Optimize Donor Behavior? A Review of Prior Methods

Project's result

I have managed to write a literature review paper. Although I may have been able to do more, I learned many new concepts that could help me in my future research, as well as a whole new field of economics to discover!

They started it from zero. Are you ready to level up with us?

Summary

Past research has indicated that there are a multitude of factors that affect donor behaviors in the field of charitable giving. However, despite previous papers analyzing how specific factors affect certain donative behaviors, very little has been stated on the practicality of the research in charity advertising. The research paper summarizes and analyzes many of the key factors that have a significant influence on the likelihood of becoming a donor and the individual donation amount, and how charities can use past research to increase their donation amount or obtain specific goals, as well as the significance of charitable giving on the economy.

Project review

“Writing a research paper, albeit a literature review, was much more fun than I expected! I realized that I had the drive to put in the effort to write what I wanted to and do research on my own. Similarly, along the way, I discovered and learned a lot of new concepts that I can apply to my life as well!”

About my mentor

“Cesia is a very good mentor, and she is able to provide students with the insight necessary for writing papers or any other research. She helped me along the way and gave quality feedback as to how to write a research paper and what to do to make it stand out. She was experienced, and I am lucky to have her as my mentor for an economics research paper.”
