Project description
Anika created a blog called Systemic Connections, which offers a place to read and write articles from students passionate about social inequalities and policy making. She began this project by researching and writing her own articles about different socio-economic disparities and how the pandemic has exacerbated them. She realized it would be more valuable to open the blog up so that students anywhere could publish their own writing to add multiple perspectives. In effect, contributors can write about their own personal experiences, their opinions on possible solutions, the history of specific injustices, and more. The overall goal of this project is to foster more discussions and awareness of social disparities in hopes of creating social change in our community.
Project outcome
Anika's blog is now up and running! She also has been contacting social impact groups to get more writers' voices on the blog.
