Bio
Hi, I'm Cody. I was born in Taiwan, but grew up in San Jose, California, where I developed an interest in both hardware and software engineering. I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering at UC Davis and spent 3 years as a custom circuit designer at Intel before transitioning to an iOS developer role. I co-founded Work Hard Anywhere, an app to help people find places to get work done and now work as a senior iOS developer at Boomerang, the email productivity company with 7 years of iOS engineering experience. At Boomerang, we've built a full email client on iPhone and iPad with snooze, send later, response tracking, follow up reminders, voice assistant, machine learning, and more.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Project 1
Creating a stock market tracking app to keep track of your portfolio.
Project 2
Creating an app that notifies you of upcoming SpaceX rocket launches and gives you stats of previously launched rockets.
Final Notes
We can get started together on an app that you've been wanting to build, or we can come up with an idea together, depending on your interests. Our first session can be to brainstorm a meaningful starter project that you'd be excited about and can evolve to a more advanced iOS app.
