Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Building a Robotic Hand

In this project, students will build a robotic hand and learn how to program to move that hand to perform several different actions. It will be similar to the project seen at this link: https://sites.google.com/berkeley.edu/eecs-c106a-final-rps-gp30/ Students will be able to customize this project to match their interests.

Line Following Car

In this project, students will be creating a mini-car that can drive on its own, by following a line on the ground. They will also learn about the circuitry needed to make the motors of the wheels work and will program the car to follow the line.

Robotics/Security Project Proposals

If students are interested in Robotics or Security, I can discuss the skills they would like to gain and can work to create a customized project to meet those goals.

Coding skills

Python, Golang, SQL, Java, C, Scheme, various security tools
