Literature Review of Cancer Immunology
Mentee develops a well-developed understanding of cancer immunology and scientific writing by researching the latest scientific articles and compiling a written review of their findings. There are several ways to break this down. Traditionally, the mentee could write a straight forward outline of both the cancer cells' functions and ways to subvert the immune system as well as the immune cells' functions and ways to kill the cancer cells. Alternatively, this could be spun into a creative narrative exploring the two sides like battling entities (maybe making a graphic of some sort), which may make this more fun and engaging while still developing a strong knowledge base and sparking passion.
