Bio
This is Guanhua, I just graduated from Brown with a Masters in Physics. I am currently working on high energy theory, the intersection between cosmology and particle theory, quantum field theory and new physics beyond standard model. My research interest is quantum gravity, string theory and geometry. As a mentor, I would like to research more related to astronomy and astrophysics based on general relativity with the students. Those subjects are well-suited for students at the middle-high school level, but we can also explore more! Personally, I like a lot of things. I like painting and drawing, I had a major in studio art when I did my undergraduate at University of Miami. I like cello, surfing and want to try scuba diving. I also like to travel and read.Project ideas
Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.
Theory of Inflation
Theory of inflation is a theory that is nowadays widely accepted by scientific community. Inflation is a state that is before the commonly known Big Bang of our universe. If we believe our universe is started from a singularity or some other state as the string theory describes. Then we have this inflation process that the temperature increases in a dramatically way. Then, all the elements particles that we have known were formed. In this project, we can try to understand the theory of the inflation, at the same time, we can calculate quantum fluctuations that is associated with it.

I took TA classes at Brown when I was a first year master student majoring in physics. The program consists of a year long two classes aiming to help graduate students who majoring in STEM learn teaching skills in order for us to teach at Brown. We need to teach our specialized materials to the evaluators who are professors and teachers at Brown. We also need to teach our peer students, mostly PHD students during the classes. In this sense, by finishing those classes, I taught several times to professors and PHD students in those course at Brown.Credentials
