Bio

I am passionate about learning about space science and allied technology. I am all for learning new things about space that will revolutionize the space industry as we know it. I believe that the next frontier is space and this is a great time to be alive and witnessing history in making. I work on astrodynamics which is study of motion of celestial objects in space under the influence of various forces. I like collecting famous (and not so famous) quotes that have been said and written over the course of history, and make new ones while I am at it. I am a big nerd about self help books which help me improve as a person and makes me efficient at tasks. One cool fact about me is that I hail from Varanasi (India) which one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Develop MATLAB/Python code to visualize trajectories of satellites

Based on the equations of motion for objects in space, we can visualize the motion in MATLAB/Python. This requires knowledge of conic sections and the coding environment, however it gives deep insight into how forces work and their mathematical interpretation can lead to actual simulation.

Teaching Assistant: PHYS 233/234: 1/2 TA: 20 hours/week (Physics Dept): Spring 2022 - Held office hours for teaching students with Biology background, the basics of Physics - Since these students had never been exposed to concepts of Physics, I taught that from scratch to make them understand better, gave examples with which they can relate too - Homework Questions, Recitation and Quizzes were given to students on weekly basis, and I would clear their doubts and any question they may have
