Abstract or project description

Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder caused by the lack of dopamine in the midbrain as the dopamine-producing neurons die. Some genetic and environmental instances leading to PD include heavy metals and drug usage. Symptoms can range from motor to non-motor once PD begins to affect the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Common motor symptoms are resting tremors or muscle rigidity, while non-motor symptoms include mood changes and sleep disturbances. Some problems relating to PD include the absence of an exact test for the disorder, separating the possible signs of PD from the frequent problems of the usual age group it affects, which is 60 years old and above, and (fill in later). This literature review goes in-depth about the relationship and correlation between ethnicity and PD.
