Nora Boyle is a writer and editor who earned her BA in Creative Writing from Hamilton College. Nora enjoys writing about higher education on account of all the amazing resources and opportunities afforded to her during her own college career, including several generous scholarships and a Kirkland College Summer Grant. Since graduating in 2018, Nora has also received a 2022 Penland School of Craft Scholarship, as well as a 2023 Durham Arts Council Artist Support Grant.
In addition to her work with Polygence over the past year, Nora has over six years experience writing college admissions articles. She has also helped hundreds of law school applicants edit their resumes and personal statements through an LSAT tutoring company, LSAT Unplugged. Nora is proud to have helped so many students pursue their passions through higher education.
When Nora isn’t working in college and law school admissions, she is busy running the Extended Day Program at the Carolina Friends School and teaching bookbinding classes at the Durham Arts Council. Nora enjoys teaching all ages and often remarks that her students range from 6 years old to 86 years old!
Nora is also the founder of a small literary press, Lady Book Witch Press, that publishes poetry chapbooks and a biannual literary magazine. In addition to her self-published works, Nora’s poetry has been featured in a variety of literary magazines, including Folklore for Resistance, Capsule Stories Magazine, NERVE, Free Verse Revolution, Paper & Ink, Broken Spells Zine, Querencia Press, and Folktales Literary Journal.
