Abstract or project description

Bias is present in news articles and social media. However, individuals may be unaware that their social media or news feeds are biased. This can result in a lack of understanding, awareness, and empathy towards others. Is the output of generative artificial intelligence inherently biased? Can that bias be detected? Can it be mitigated, and if so how? This project seek to explore these questions with the goal of creating systems that reduce bias and increase awareness of individuals to the lack of balance in perspective and the negative effects this may have on themselves and others.
