Abstract or project description
Written by the student: My final publication will be a review on BioRxiv that will cover the impact of telomerase and telomeres focusing on the components or certain processes. As of now, the impact of T-, R-, and D- Loops on telomere lengthening at the ends of the DNA sequence, TERC and TERT genes and how there is a growth advantage in cells due to the addition of telomeric repeats to the ends of chromosomes, and impact of telomere uncapping and how it is due to t-loops preventing chromosome ends from breaking.
