Bio

I am enthusiastic about applying AI research and software engineering to solve real-world problems for social good. My researches focus on machine learning application in data science, image processing, and recognizations in computer vision. I'm also passionate about responsive design in web applications and delivering accessible content to users of diverse backgrounds. In my spare time, I make and collect models of all kinds, but tanks and warships are my favorite. I love going on hiking and biking with friends during the weekends to enjoy nature. I also like listening to music and playing piano to relax after a day of work.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Waste Classification Using Computer Vision

Waste collection and rubbish disposal play an extremely important role in the global cleanliness and sustainability drive, with people’s health and the conservation of resources being the responsibility of everyone. The application uses computer vision and machine learning technology to help people to classify wastes quickly and accurately. With this app, people can simply scan the waste to be disposed of, and follow the instruction provided by the app to correctly dispose of them. This is a handy application, especially for those who live in countries that have evolving yet strict waste classification policies to comply.

Arcade Game Dev in Python

Have you ever thought about developing or modifying a classic Arcade game with your own ideas? This project will allow you to develop your own games from scratch with proper guidance and resources. You'll learn key elements in PyGame libraries and implement game design principles to make your game fun to play.
