PhD candidate at California Institute of Technology and University of California Los Angeles

Expertise

labor economics, public economics,

Bio

My dissertation is about labor economics of firm diversity--what happens to wages as firms become more racially diverse, and how coworker networks have evolved. I have worked on a variety of topics in labor economics, from projects estimating compensating differentials to understanding the determinants of disability insurance, and am interested in current work on corporate power that crosses over into industrial organization. Before my time at UCLA + Stanford, I mostly studied computational ecology. Outside of school, I like to cook, climb rocks, and woodwork.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Public Policy Research

Is there a field of public policy that interests you? What are some policies in that field that interest you, active or proposed? We will figure out how to use public data to improve the state of knowledge about that policy.
