Bio

Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am a JD candidate at Yale Law School. I previously received my doctorate from the University of Oxford, where I wrote a dissertation on moral philosophy, and I received my undergraduate degree from Princeton! I am really interested in all fields of philosophy, as well as various areas of law, politics, and music. Apart from my academic studies, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, cooking, and playing the piano! I would be very interested to meet you and work on anything that you are curious about.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

How do Supreme Court justices interpret the Constitution?

In this project, we take a look at several important decisions from the past century to learn about, and consider, what are the theories by which jurists make their decisions.

Who were Socrates and Plato?

In this project, we read dialogues written by Plato as an introduction to philosophy, culminating in writing a paper on an aspect of Plato's ideas.

What is the right thing to do?

In this project, we consider the famous 'Trolley Problem' in modern ethics and examine for ourselves what we should do, and why.

Reviews

"Kevin was a great mentor, he was very patient and kind to me as I was learning. He really helped me see what type of writing students do in college and I was glad to have that insight as I was writing my essay/project."
