Alexandra Massa

Alexandra ("Ali") Massa is a translational scientist and biotech innovator with expertise spanning cancer biology, immunology, biotechnology, and early-stage venture investing. She earned her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology as a Dartmouth Ph.D. Innovation Fellow at Dartmouth College, where her research focused on endogenous retroviruses (ERVs) and their role in cancer and immunotherapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Stonehill College. Prior to Dartmouth, Alexandra conducted immunology research at the Ragon Institute of MGH, MIT, and Harvard before joining Neon Therapeutics, where she helped develop neoantigen-based cancer vaccine technologies. She has also supported venture investing and startup growth through fellowships with Borealis Ventures and Dartmouth's entrepreneurial ecosystem. Passionate about translating scientific discoveries into impactful companies, Alexandra's interests include biotechnology, entrepreneurship, comparative medicine, aging and longevity, mental health, and animal welfare. She is the author of publications in the Journal of Immunology and the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.
