Abstract or project description

PET, one of the seven plastic categories, is a very versatile resource that supports various industries and helps build the base for modern infrastructure and equipment. However, its accumulation is posing a threat to global pollution and that is adversely affecting our environment. The current biological means to degrade PET is relatively inefficient, and this paper helps describe the limitations in detail and provides a theoretical design to making a more efficient procedure that would take care of the limitations, ensure that it's chemically stable, and kinetically, thermodynamically, and economically favorable. It also helps theoretically design a physical system that could help execute that procedure efficiently. This may also be used as a blueprint for the formation of a certain "plastic degrading" industry.
