Abstract or project description

Diabetes and Cancer have plagued Earth for thousands of years. Since the Egyptians, diabetes and cancer have been studied to find a cure, yet even with modern medicine, cures to these diseases have not been found. From the extremely researched causes and effects of diabetes to the vast unknown of cancer, permanent cures have not been discovered. However, in recent times, a new and extremely promising remedy has come to the forefront of research on these previously incurable diseases: stem cells, which may have the ability to cure these diseases.. In this review, we will review the basic biology of stem cells, their effectiveness clinically in respect to diabetes and cancer, and their future possibilities in medicine.
