Abstract or project description

The goal of this project is to consider which aspects of climate change may have contributed to the exceptional damage caused by Hurricane Harvey (2017) in Houston, Texas. The evaluation metrics include total rainfall, the rainfall return period, the rainfall pattern, and the wind speed. Data visualization with Python and Pycharm, will help illustrate the exceptional nature of this storm. I will also analyze how sea level rise, average ocean temperatures, and population changes may have contributed to excessive damage in Harvey. The final deliverable will be a scientific expository poster.
