Modeling the efficiency of greenhouse gases to absorb heat

Started June 30, 2021

Abstract or project description

The greenhouse effect is when the greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and water vapor) trap some of the sun's heat, warming the planet, and reflect the rest into space. In this experiment, I will test the amount of heat trapped by each greenhouse gas separately. I will put each gas on a bottle and then expose them all to the same amount of heat from the sun. I will then measure the heat of each bottle and use that to calculate the heat trapping efficiency of each gas.
