Prevalence of MRSA infections in cancer patients

Abstract or project description
Drug-resistant bacteria have emerged at an alarming rate. One such pathogen, Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), is ubiquitous in hospital and community-acquired infections. Cancer patients are easily susceptible to MRSA infections due to compromised immune systems. The current project studies MRSA and the different serotypes identified in cancer patients.
