Abstract or project description
In this project, I will research Alzheimer’s disease by exploring its underlying biology and the mechanisms that lead to its progression. I will start by studying the amyloid pathway and the pathophysiology of Alzheimer’s disease to understand how changes in the brain cause memory and cognitive decline. I will also look at the roles of different genes and proteins and how they contribute to the development and progression of the disease. Next, I will explore how biomarkers are developed and used for early detection, diagnosis, and monitoring. Finally, I will examine current and emerging treatments and how they target the disease to slow its progression.
