I chose to work on this project because I wanted to find a way to bridge the gap between dental health and overall wellbeing. Abstract or project description
The student is investigating the causes of Periodontal Disease and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD). Additionally, the student is researching the link between the two diseases and trying to prove a correlation between oral health diseases (PD) and Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD). The article explores the concept of endotoxins releaed by periodontopathogens, and how the facilitated entry of the pathogens into the bloodstream can accelerate the pathogenesis of ASCVD. The project is in the form of a research article. This research article is based on the research question; In adult patients with periodontitis, how could it lead and what is its correlation to heart disease?
