Effect of Supplements and Energy Drinks on Breast Cancer
Started Sept. 10, 2025
Abstract or project description
Sarina is investigating whether consumption of vitamin B12, vitamin C, and vitamin E is associated with breast cancer in diagnosed patients. Her interest comes from conflicting reports in the scientific literature, where some studies suggest potential benefits while others raise concerns about these supplements in the context of cancer. Through a patient survey, she plans to collect detailed information on the timing, frequency, and dosage of these vitamins, particularly distinguishing use before diagnosis, during treatment, and after treatment. By analyzing these patterns alongside clinical background information, she aims to determine whether any observable correlations emerge between supplement use and breast cancer diagnosis or progression. Her project will help clarify whether this line of inquiry warrants further study and may contribute to a more evidence-based understanding of supplement use among breast cancer patients.
