About
Hello! My name is Saranika Chakraborty, and my intended Polygence project is on observing the effect of time of day on pollutant concentrations in the air. I chose to work on this project because air pollution is a major contributor to the rise of global warming; therefore, observing pollutants and trying to find a trend in the rise of pollutants can contribute to finding a solution for reducing the levels of pollutants exposed in our environment. After my project is complete, I would like to use materials science and/or nanotechnology to develop materials that can absorb these pollutants or create an effective filtration system that can be applied on a larger scale.Projects

Abstract or project description
Saranika wants to look into the environmental impacts of water and soil contamination. Specifically how the Ph of soil can effect plant growth. We are exploring the process of presenting the appropriate background for the research questions and developing a sound experiment that will hopefully render sufficient results.
