Role of low-FODMAP diet in inflammatory bowel disease.

Abstract or project description

Low FODMAP diets have been used most commonly in patients with irritable bowel syndrome. These diets typically reduce the inflammation and strain on the GI system, leading to less exacerbations in IBS patients. However, little research has been done on the effect of low-FODMAP diets in patients with inflammatory bowel disease. This project will search to answer that question via a literature review.
