Abstract or project description

My plan for this research paper is to conduct a literature review about the negative effects of social media use in adolescents. I would like to find out how excessive social media use can lead to direct symptoms such as depression and aggression. This topic will focus on how an abundance of internet use is becoming more and more common throughout the youth population ages 10-19 in a negative way and how this can seriously affect mental health. I want to explore what causes these symptoms such as unrealistic expectations, self consciousness, etc. I want my research paper to include how social media affects mental health symptoms in youth at such a young age.
