Building a 3d printed quadruped robot

Abstract or project description
What does it take to build and control a small quadruped robot? How can we improve its design or intelligence? The plan is to first construct an open source 3d printed quadraped, then iterate on its design to improve its mobility and ways of being controlled. In the process, get hands-on experience with 3d printing, CAD, coding, microcontrollers, and basic robotic kinematics.
