About

Hello, my name is Sajiv Mehta and my Polygence project is called Generational Golf! I chose to explore the world of golf media because I have been playing golf for almost my whole life (since I was 2 years old!) and it is my greatest passion. I have decided to make a magazine, where I publish different perspectives about golf. I hope to interview popular figures in the golf community and maybe even partner with a larger golf publication in the future.

Abstract or project description

Sajiv has a background of writing and a passion for golf. He was originally interested in a single piece on an upstart golf series named LIV Golf. However, given the current oversaturation of the media with pieces on LIV Golf, Sajiv shifted his focus to other facets of the game. He discovered that the younger perspective was very under-represented in golf media. He decided to form a magazine and podcast, where he gets contributions from multi-generational perspectives on hot-button issues and important topics in the golf world today. His main content pillar is exploring the question: to what extent has the golf community's experience changed in the modern age, most namely as a result of Eldrick "Tiger" Woods and his unprecedented affinity for and success in the game. He is also examining the effect of technology and distance on golf course architecture and high-level players.
