Natural Language Processing (NLP) algorithms serve as the backbone for online search engines. This paper studies their impact on the interpretation and understanding of text data across different languages, cultures, and social groups.

How do variations in user queries affect search results? You can reverse engineer details about a user based on how they structure their query How does predictive text in search engines vary across different groups? How does slang manifest in search results?
