The Technology, Politics, and Neuroscience Behind the Havana Syndrome

Started May 20, 2025

Abstract or project description

As the causes of the Havana Syndrome remain disputed, cases continue to emerge with devastating, long-term consequences. Previous studies failed to identify observable damage despite irreversible effects on cognition and the vestibular system’s function that are distinct from known disorders. Some suspect that foreign attacks are behind the symptoms as most patients are US personnel, but these claims were initially shut down without a thorough and public investigation. Past research has focused on isolated aspects of the Havana Syndrome or small groups of cases, requiring a broader approach. This article analyzes recent developments and obscured events to uncover the technology, neuroscience, and politics behind the Havana Syndrome. Subsequently, it appears that radio frequency energy weapons are impairing the vestibulocochlear nerve of US agents in Russia-related work. These findings suggest a threat to the safety of US government officials and their family, as well as a shift in warfare towards silent weaponry harming cognition. Further research should be conducted to explore interventions that can repair potential vestibulocochlear nerve damage or block radio frequency energy waves.
