How does an age-appropriate educational intervention influence children's emotional and behavioral responses to insect-related stimuli, particularly in relation to anxiety associated with bug phobia?

Abstract or project description

This study details how an educational brochure may influence children’s phobia based responses on insects. Children will be exposed to insects and there responses will be recorded using an anxiety scale survey. They will be the ones answering the survey. An educational brochure will then be read and shown to them on how to manage their fear, allowing them to be able to apply the brochure’s content to their next exposure. The brochure will be child friendly, but backed with evidence and research. Responses will then be recorded from the children’s second exposure, which allows the first exposure (without brochure content applied) and second exposure (with brochure content applied) to be compared.
