Abstract or project description
Nishika will discuss Vitamin D's role both in healthy and sick people. To give a background, Nishika will discuss the role of Vitamin D in the normal, healthy body and what can occur if people of varying ages are deficient in Vitamin D. This background will allow her to discuss how Vitamin D can be helpful in prevention of common illness, like the cold and flu, and also help manage symptoms. She will also be looking into impact of Vitamin D on chronic illnesses, like diabetes and coronary artery disease.
