Abstract or project description

Nikhil will be conducting a literature review to explore the relationship between nursing staff, financial outcomes, and patient safety metrics. The COVID-19 pandemic has put tremendous stress on hospitals, both financially and from a staffing perspective. One consequence of the pandemic has been increased attention on the function of nursing staff in the hospital setting. Some centers have decided to reduce nursing staffs. Nikhil will analyze how these reduced staffing numbers impact hospital financial bottom lines and patient safety.
