Abstract or project description

Schizophrenia can be a debilitating condition that affects the daily life of a patient and their loved ones. There have been some genetic trends associated with schizophrenia, but it is unclear if there are particular gene mutations that can run in families leading to hereditary schizophrenia. Gene mutations in genes like GRIN2A have been associated with familial schizophrenia; further research of this gene and others would important to understanding the characteristics of familial schizophrenia.
