Abstract or project description
Maisie is interested in Alzheimer's Disease (AD). Currently, we are focusing on understanding how AD impacts different cell types in the central nervous system (CNS). She is most interested in focusing on potential therapies, including gene therapy and modeling techniques using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). Going forward, we will hone in on two areas. iPSCs to model neural replacement and plasticity and gene therapy techniques in astrocytes and microglia.
