Abstract or project description

Keira reviewed pain aspects of ASD. She talked about sensory pain and mechanisms found for them. She compiled them into a research study and tried to find connections between them. She provided her own commentary about possible bias in studies, ways research could improve, hypothesises, etc. She provides critique of the medical research community's focus on finding things like biomarkers for Autism instead of listening to the concerns and wishes for research of the Autistic community that they are supposed to serve. Keira hopes that this research study will be a good proof of concept for further research she would love to do in college. She is very excited about getting this research out and believes it to be extremely important.
