Abstract or project description

Research paper that shows:

  • Background on the disease (issues in brain, pathogenesis)
  • Ways symptoms are measured (in table/chart, TMS, UHDRS, TFC, SDMT, SWR) and how they are significant in capturing the disease's progression or improvement
  • Preclinical information (before a drug is taken into a clinic, how animals are used to test the drug)
  • Previous treatment of symptoms with Huntington's disease and why there aren't ways to directly deal with the disease (currently just treating symptoms)
  • Therapeutic side of solutions to HD
  • Future treatments and the direction drugs are heading for this disease (PTC518 molecule)
