Parents’ occupation relationship with students’ academic achievement in Vietnam

Abstract or project description

This paper examines how parents’ jobs and other factors contribute to differences in students' academic achievements. These other factors include residential area, student gender, student age, and parent age. The study aims to determine whether certain jobs are associated with higher or lower students’ scores. To investigate this, multiple linear regression models will be used. The dependent variable is students’ academic performance, while the main independent variable is parents’ occupation. Additional control variables include residential area, student gender, student age and parent age.
