Marketing During and Post-pandemic: Prevalent Customer Influences on Marketing Campaigns

Abstract or project description

Blake will be exploring how Gen Z's growing sympathy for social, environmental, and health concerns is shifting the way that companies market their products and services. We will be looking at the events of 2020, including the pandemic, social and environmental uprisings and how these events have shaped company's target personas. We will explore the top desires of customers now compared to previous decades. Which companies preach values and sentiments in their campaigns that are objectively corroborated (by how they treat employees, where they invest their money, etc.)? Which companies are being accused of tokenism through marketing ploys such as "greenwashing" and "rainbow-washing"?
