About

Hello! My name is Aryahi Kalanuria, and I wanted to write a history paper preferably on the Middle Ages in Europe. Within this topic, I would love to look into a variety of subtopics such as the shift in Europe from the Roman Era to the Middle Ages. I absolutely love history and the medieval period is my favorite!

The Evolution of Social Standards: How the ‘Ideal’ Man in the Middle Ages Deviated from Roman Times.

Abstract or project description

An emphasis on societal norms during the Roman and Medieval periods. Focusing on the active lives of the different types of warriors in these individual time periods and how they differed from each other. For the Roman period, the focus is on Aeneid. For the medieval period, we chose Gawain from "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight." In terms of differences, there is the concept of societal status and how they were viewed by the common people and possibly the ruler. There's also the aspect of how they were "supposed" to behave and in general, the stereotypes for each warrior in these time periods.
