What are the influences in a sustainable urban center that increased the percentage of trips taken through sustainable transportation?

Abstract or project description

Using two urban centers which are diverse in location and demographics as case studies, identify which influences (including, but not limited to social, psychological, economic, environmental, operational) were most important for increasing the percentage of trips taken through sustainable transportation. Proposals for changes to other urban centers will be identified for the most impactful influences. These findings will be summarized in a research paper which will be submitted to an online journal with a summary graphic as part of the abstract. The journal chosen will be decided on at a later date.
