Parent-Child Attachment Styles and the Development of Mood Disorders

Abstract or project description
Anushka would like to examine relationships between mental health and family dynamics. Specifically, she is interested in how parent-child attachment styles are associated with the development of certain mood disorders in subsequent years. Major Depressive Disorder and Bipolar Disorder will be researched. Anushka is also interested in examining the influence of parenting styles on child mental health. Her paper will also include a discussion on how attachment theory and family systems theory are related to mental health.
