How do ADHD and executive functions impact students’ learning and academic performance in a school setting?

Abstract or project description
In this paper, I will be exploring the relationship between executive function and ADHD in adolescents. To these ends, I will define ADHD, executive functions, and their relationship in the context of primary and secondary school. Specifically, I will talk about papers and evidence that explore this relationship, as well as how they can inform treatments and accommodations. I will also discuss how this relationship, in a school setting, can engender other mental illnesses and disorders that may impede students’ learning even further. Finally, I will propose new avenues of research and potential treatment applications to improve these students' wellbeing even more.
