How do eye injuries in contact sports affect high school/college athletes in their future?

Abstract or project description
Angad aims to use a review of published literature to investigate the impact of eye injuries in contact sports. He will particularly focus on high school/college athletes and the trends observed in injuries across sports. This project stems from the understanding that injuries have a lasting impact on an athlete's general health and wellness, and their ability to progress in their sport. Furthermore, studies have shown that adolescents/young adult athletes may have an increased risk of eye injuries in certain sports such as football, basketball, and tennis. Throughout his paper, Angad plans to give readers a biological understanding of these injuries, their impact on players, and discuss preventative measures and guidelines to mitigate the risks.
