How well do High Schools in California implement mental health resources and how can they be most helpful and accessible to students?

Abstract or project description

For this project, I hope to research how helpful and accessible mental health resources are in schools from the perspective of the students, and how anxiety levels correlate with participants' access to these programs. As well as how these resources could be improved for students in school. I plan to do this by creating a survey and submitting it on social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, etc.) for the High School students in the United States to fill in. I will follow up with willing participants (students, alumni, teachers, and other staff members) from the survey with an interview about their experiences and views on support systems available in High Schools. With that Information I will create a position statement that is addressed to relevant persons that can make changes regarding more accessible and helpful mental health resources in High Schools.
