Abstract or project description
Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia and affects more than 6 million people in the United States. There has been increased focus on potential lifestyle interventions that may slow disease progression or lower one's risk of disease. Meditation is one promising option that may promote brain health in late life. Abirham's research paper will summarize the current state of knowledge on the effects of meditation in the context of Alzheimer's disease, with a specific focus on gray matter atrophy.
