Abstract or project description
This article discusses the technical derivation and components of the ER=EPR conjecture by Susskind and Maldacena, starting with the mathematical derivation of Einstein-Rosen wormhole solution in general relativity, building on the Schwarzchild metric to arrive at the Eddington-Finklestein and Kruskal-Szekeres coordinates. Lastly, it will construct a Penrose diagram to the four-part model of spacetime. It then introduces elementary ideas from quantum entanglement (EPR) and connects it to the wormholes solution in AdS/CFT holography. If time permits, we explore the interesting implications ER=EPR has on Hawking Radiation, firewalls, and black hole information theory.
